Thunderbird car for sale12/30/2023 It just needs to be glued back together or patched with some fiberglass. The underside of the hood has a broken place in it where the mold has came apart. Probably wouldn't hurt to have the fuel filter changed after a few hundred miles as I'm sure it will catch some of the old gas residue that didn't get out. We drained the tank and cleaned everything out and it runs and drives fine now. The car had been sitting for a few years and had dead gas in it. The car runs great, sounds good, has plenty of power to really move the light car around. The engine is a 302 out of a mid 80's Ford Mustang, but is dressed as a correct "thunderbird special". Also, part of the arm rest material is coming off of the drivers door. There is one small tear in the drivers seat. The interior is in pretty nice shape and closely resemblesthe real thing. The rear glass is also out of the top but is with the car. It's no show car, but I wouldn't be embarrassedat all to roll up at the local cruise night in it.īoth door windows are cracked and need replaced. The bumpers are in good shape, not super shiny, but presentable. On the deck lid, there are some "bubbles" in the paint, looks like maybe they got trash in it when they sprayed it or something? It looks like rust, but obviously its not since the entire car is fiberglass. Paint & Body: The car is a ten footer, it has some normal scratches, etc, some of which I've tried to show in the photos. The original owner was older and forced to sell due to health. Not only that, these replica's run and drive better than the originals! The car has just over 16,000 miles on it since it's completion. This car is a great cheap alternative to the much more expensive real thing. The car was manufacturedin the late 80's and is title as a kit car, which it is.
